What the reading costs, by hand or with us

Court-approved Guideline Hourly Rates (from 1 January 2026) put a solicitor at £200-£422/hr depending on seniority and location. A disputed matter routinely consumes 20-60 billable hours on evidence review alone, and a heavily contested record adds analysis and a written opinion on top.

Billing FAQ

Is there a free trial?

The in-browser demo is free and nothing leaves your machine. The £49 Taster is the try-us option, credited in full against a Case Review within 30 days. Case Review has a 14-day refund window.

Is this really a one-off payment?

Yes. There is no subscription and no auto-renew. You pay once for your case and get 12 months of access to it, including re-running the pipeline as new messages come in during that period.

What happens after 12 months?

You keep read-only access to every export you've already generated, forever. If your case is still active after a year, you can extend access for a small renewal, but the bundles you've exported are always yours to keep.

Can I see what the document looks like before paying?

Yes. Download the sample fact-finding review, a complete 26 page document built from an entirely fictional record, showing the section structure, two-sided charts, verified quote cards and verification statement you would receive.

Court Bundle pricing: how is the quote set?

The Court Bundle is £2,499 for most matters. We scope record size, sources, date range, outputs and whether you want the Deep Fact-Finding Review before quoting. For the deep review, we also disclose the proposed AI provider, what content would be sent and the estimated provider cost. No chat is sent to that provider unless you explicitly opt in. Complex multi-source matters are individually quoted; the final price is agreed in writing before work starts.

Is the Deep Fact-Finding Review self-serve?

No. It is a premium, supervised workflow within the Court Bundle / white-glove tier. AI produces structured findings across overlapping context windows; deterministic tools handle deduplication, synthesis and exact quote checks, with direction/directedness classification and a neutral two-sided presentation. The resulting review is not itself evidence or a court document.

Refunds?

Case Review: 14-day no-questions refund. Taster: refundable if the export fails to generate. Court Bundle: refundable up to the point the bundle is generated.

All numbers illustrative. The £400/hr midpoint comes from the published 2025-26 charging-out rates of mid-tier UK family law firms. WhatsApp/SMS is costed at one hour per 500 messages; email at one hour per 100; recordings at 1.5x real-time; documents at 5 minutes per page. This is the evidence review cost only. It excludes drafting, advice, advocacy and court appearances. LegallyHeard is not a substitute for legal advice. See FAQ.
